Here, under one roof, more than 100 species of exotic inhabitants are gathered: from graceful sharks and rays to dangerous piranhas and rare species of snakes. One of the complex's most impressive features is the 20-meter curved underwater tunnel. Walking through it, guests can watch marine giants swim right over their heads, creating an incredible effect of total immersion in the depths of the water.

The Magic Aquarium is not just a fish exhibition, but a true underwater museum with interactive elements and high-tech solutions. Massive tanks holding over a thousand tons of water and detailed decorations make this place a must-visit for everyone seeking vivid impressions and wanting to learn more about our planet's biodiversity.

What to Do

At the Magic Aquarium, every guest will find something to enjoy. Start your adventure with a walk through the Aral Sea hall, which features rare freshwater fish from the region, and then transport yourself to Amazonia—the realm of bright neons, formidable piranhas, and exotic reptiles. Be sure to stop by the "submarine" zone to see the amazing blue crabs and mysterious moray eels.

The touch zones are a particular hit with visitors. Here you can experience brand-new emotions: feed the rays (strictly with special gloves) or watch colorful koi carp eat directly from a bottle. For curious guests, there are interactive screens with games and educational facts, as well as unusual scales that let you compare your weight with that of marine inhabitants.

Those looking for spectacular shots should head to the sunken ship "Argo" or take a panoramic selfie in the glass tunnel with soaring sharks in the background. Don't forget to visit the hall dedicated to shark study and see the impressive scale of a life-size whale skeleton. You can finish your visit at the souvenir shop, which sells sea-themed mementos.

Getting There

Getting to the Magic Aquarium is quite easy, as it is located within the popular Magic City Park in the Chilanzar district. The most convenient way for tourists is to use the Tashkent Metro. You should take the metro to the Druzhba Narodov (Xalqlar Doʻstligi) station, from which the park entrance is a 10–15 minute walk or one stop away by public transport.

If you prefer comfort, you can use a taxi or popular ride-sharing services like Yandex Go. A trip from the city center takes about 15–20 minutes depending on traffic. Drivers should head towards 174–175/3 Bobur Street. For those with private vehicles, there is a spacious parking lot next to the park.

Additionally, numerous buses and minibuses run towards the Chilanzar district. A public transport stop is located right next to the main gates of the complex, making it accessible for all travelers.

History & Facts

Magic Aquarium is a modern landmark that opened its doors to residents and visitors of the capital in 2022. The project became unique not only for the city but for the entire region, earning the status of the first aquarium in Central Asia. Its opening marked a significant milestone in the development of the country's tourism infrastructure, offering guests a completely new leisure format.

Since its opening, the complex has been positioned as an educational and entertainment platform. The design concept for the halls was inspired by the legends of lost Atlantis, creating a mystical and captivating atmosphere. Attention to detail is also evident in its technical equipment: a state-of-the-art scientific laboratory operates here, monitoring water quality and the health of the inhabitants.

Despite its short history, the aquarium already boasts success in species conservation. For instance, baby stingrays have been born here several times, indicating that the living conditions are as comfortable and close to natural as possible. The administration is constantly working to expand the collection, bringing in new exotic inhabitants from all over the world.

While this site doesn't have centuries of history, it has already become a landmark on the map of Tashkent. High visitor ratings and state-level recognition confirm that this "underwater museum" has become one of the most vibrant symbols of modern Uzbekistan.

Time Needed

To leisurely explore all 12 themed halls and watch the fish being fed, most visitors need about 45–60 minutes. This is plenty of time to take beautiful photos in the tunnel and read the information stands by the tanks.

If you plan to visit the Magic Aquarium with young children, who will likely want to stay longer in the interactive zones or at the touch pools, you should budget 1.5 hours for your visit. Those short on time who just want to see the scale of the exhibition can finish in 30 minutes, though we recommend not rushing to fully experience the magical atmosphere of the underwater world.

Working Hours

The aquarium doors are open to guests daily, without weekends or breaks. You can visit the complex from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. This convenient schedule allows you to plan your visit either in the morning or after an evening stroll through Magic City Park.

Please note that ticket offices may stop selling tickets 30–45 minutes before closing. We recommend checking the official website for information on potential technical breaks or schedule changes before your trip.
