Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo is more than just a coffee shop; it is a true temple of coffee culture located in one of Tokyo's most picturesque neighborhoods. As one of only six such establishments in the world, this flagship project in Japan offers an immersive experience where the art of bean roasting meets high architecture. The building, spanning approximately 2,700 square meters, was designed by the famous architect Kengo Kuma, who harmoniously integrated the modern structure into the landscape of the Nakameguro district.

The interior of the four-story center impresses with its monumentality and attention to detail. The main visual focal point is a giant copper cask decorated with hundreds of hand-hammered cherry blossoms. This is a tribute to the nearby Meguro River, whose banks are blanketed in pink petals every spring. Here, guests can watch the entire cycle of a coffee bean's transformation into a finished drink, feeling like part of a complex and beautiful production process.
\nIn addition to rare coffee varieties, the venue brings together a Teavana tea bar, a Princi bakery, and the Arriviamo mixology area. Thanks to this diversity and high standard of service, the Roastery has deservedly earned a Travellers’ Choice award from Tripadvisor and has become a must-visit for travelers who appreciate unique design and gastronomic discoveries.
