In the heart of the ancient city lies the Lviv Oceanarium—a modern museum of living marine nature that opened its doors in 2020. This unique space became the first attraction of its kind that Ukraine presented to tourists in its western region.

Located in Lviv, on Taras Shevchenko Avenue, the oceanarium occupies three floors of the historic building of the former "Kyiv" cinema. Here, visitors will find a real labyrinth of more than 20 aquariums, home to over 3,000 marine residents: from vibrant coral fish to majestic sharks, rays, and turtles.
One of the main highlights of the complex is the underwater tunnel, which is 18 meters long. Walking under the transparent dome, guests can observe ocean life literally right above their heads, creating a full sense of immersion in the marine abyss. The exhibition is complemented by a shell museum and fascinating 3D shows on the walls of the complex.
