This small settlement in the United States is located on the banks of the Yukon River and has no land connection to the "mainland," so getting here is an adventure in itself. Small aviation and water transport remain the primary ways to reach the town, allowing tourists to immediately immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the wild Northern nature.

Since Pilot Station does not have a major airport to accommodate large airliners, the route for travellers usually passes through Alaska's regional hubs. Most often, tourists first fly to larger cities, from where they transfer to small aviation flights.
