The Steps of Success (Atago Shrine) is one of the most atmospheric "power spots" in Tokyo. Located at the top of Atago-yama Hill, this Shinto shrine in Japan sits at 26 meters above sea level, making it the highest natural point in the city's central districts. The main draw for tourists here is a steep stone staircase of 86 steps, known as “Shusse-no-Ishidan,” climbing which is said to bring good luck in career and business.

The shrine is dedicated to the fire god Homusubi-no-Mikoto and was founded over 400 years ago to protect the city from fires. Today, this place attracts not only pilgrims but also those seeking tranquility among the skyscrapers of the Minato district. Surrounded by ancient trees, Atago-jinja offers guests a unique opportunity to perform an ancient ritual and be inspired by the panoramic views from this historic peak.
