Given that minimum temperatures in the winter months drop below zero (for example, to -3.4°C in January), precipitation during this time may occur as light snow. The spring months (March, April, May) and October are transitional, with moderate precipitation: about 3 mm in March, April, and October, and 4 mm in May.

When planning a trip to Sacheon, it is important to consider seasonal weather changes to ensure your wardrobe is as comfortable as possible. In summer, from June to August, the weather is warm and humid, with average temperatures ranging between 22–27°C. This is also the rainiest period, especially in July and August, when the number of rainy days can reach 17–18. Therefore, be sure to pack light, breathable clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and a reliable umbrella or light raincoat. Comfortable walking shoes will come in handy year-round, as the city is perfect for exploring on foot.

In spring (March–May) and autumn (September–October), the weather in Sacheon offers more moderate temperatures, gradually rising from 9°C in March to 23°C in May and dropping from 22°C in September to about 15°C in October. During these transitional seasons, as well as in the cooler month of November (average temperature around 9°C), the principle of layering works best. Bring T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, a sweater or fleece, and a light jacket or windbreaker to easily adapt to temperature changes throughout the day. Although there is less precipitation than in summer, an umbrella may still be useful, especially in spring and early autumn.

Winter in Sacheon, from December to February, is quite cool. Average temperatures stay in the range of 1–4°C, and nightly lows can drop below freezing. Precipitation is low during this time, but both rainy and rare snowy days are possible. For a winter trip, you will need warm clothing: an insulated jacket, sweaters, perhaps thermal underwear, as well as a hat, scarf, and gloves to keep your city walks comfortable and pleasant.
